CBC Co. Ltd. was founded in Japan in 1925 with a clear mission to connect the world through innovation, technology, and lasting relationships.

In 1988, the Italian headquarters was inaugurated under the name CBC Europe, becoming the European operational center and a point of reference for cutting-edge solutions in the fields of security and industrial optics. Over the years, the organization has expanded its business, entering new markets: from the chemical-pharmaceutical sector to biological control products in agriculture, to the distribution of electromedical devices.

The year 2025 marks a historic milestone: 100 years of activity for the parent company. A century of growth, evolution, and constant commitment. This year, to celebrate this important anniversary, a special Corporate Storytelling project is coming to life: a video that tells our story, our values, and CBC’s vision for the future.

100 years of history and the adventure continues…

Our logo, an anagram of Chugai Boyeki Company, represents the founder’s strong desire to expand the business overseas, connecting Chu (=inside/domestic), i.e. Japan, with Gai (outside/overseas), i.e. the outside world. The elliptical shape rising to the right represents the universe of chemistry and, at the same time, shows the determination and momentum to aim for the maximum. In physics, in fact, 37 degrees allow for maximum range.

CBC Europe has grown significantly since 1988. Key milestones in this journey include:

  • in 2006, Procos SpA, a Cameri-based company specializing in the production of raw materials for the pharmaceutical industry, joined the CBC group;
  • in 2012, the merger with Intrachem Bio Italia, a leading company in the Italian and international market for biological means of controlling adversities in agriculture, allowed the company to diversify its catalog of technical means in organic farming and expand its sales force in the territory;
  • In 2023, the acquisition of a stake in Ecospray and the acquisition of Bioplanet enabled the company to develop new opportunities in the field of biological pest control in agriculture and to complete the Biogard product range by adding macro-organisms.
  • February 2025 saw the launch of the new production plant for liquid formulations of biological products for agriculture at the Grassobbio site.

Many new challenges await us in the future, from the launch of a new medical device for cleaning and disinfecting endoscopes to new pharmaceutical business opportunities in Japan, Europe, and the global market.
