Technical description
Daridorexant belongs to the class of orexin receptor antagonists. This class of drugs regulates the sleep-wake cycle. It selectively blocks orexin receptors, preventing the molecules responsible for wakefulness (orexin A and B) from binding to them. Unlike traditional sleeping pills, it does not induce generalized sedation but rather shuts down wakefulness signals, helping you fall asleep and stay asleep without causing morning grogginess or dependence.
